Uniform Policy

Daarul Uloom Islamic School believes that a mandatory school uniform policy will provide a more secure school environment, promote an atmosphere for greater discipline, enhance solidarity, and increase learning opportunities for students by removing many of the distractions and connotations associated with various types of clothing.

DU students are required to wear uniforms to class. Students shall be expected to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at school. The first responsibility for maintaining proper standards belongs to the student and parents, or guardian. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children wear the designated school uniform clothing as outlined below.

All students are required to dress properly for Physical Education. Separate PE clothes will help prevent regular school clothes from being ruined and provides flexibility for students while in PE. PE clothes are aligned with school dress code rules so students don’t have to worry about changing during the day.
